BOOKS
Driven by a longing to lose their innocence, the characters in this story find themselves linked through the chance possession of a rather less innocent Fedora hat.
The encounters, passions and liaisons begin before World War II and end in the present. The stories recollect with fondness and humour five generations of repressed country youngsters struggling to come to terms with the naive delights of new-found love.
The Fedora itself remains ambivalent in its tastes; though ever constant in its companionship.
